Insurance Reimbursement
I am an “out-of-network” provider and I do not take health insurance. However, I do provide a superbill at the end of the assessment process that you may submit to your health insurance provider for reimbursement. Often, PPO plans will cover a percentage of the cost of comprehensive assessments. I recommend that you contact your insurance provider to determine their coverage for neuropsychological testing. You can also download an informational sheet that describes the CPT codes I use on the superbill here.
Fees
My fees are consistent with other neuropsychologists in the Bay Area who provide comprehensive psychological and educational assessments. Flat fees for assessment cover all parts of the assessment process. I typically do a comprehensive assessment for every case, but sometimes do more focused assessments on a case by case basis. I know that such an assessment is a significant investment and time commitment, so I strive to make sure that all of your questions are thoroughly answered.

Please do not let finances keep you from seeking an assessment in my practice. I am able to offer a limited number of assessments on a sliding scale based on family income. If you are interested in this option, please email me directly at mark@westerfieldpsych.com.
